Overview
Download Experience Redesign
I optimized the export experience in Rebellis AI by redesigning the download flow, improving CTA visibility, and providing clearer guidance throughout the experience, resulting in a 20% increase in download completion.
Research
Understanding financial activity felt unnecessarily difficult
Problem
User behavior analysis through Microsoft Clarity, internal analytics, and community feedback revealed friction at the final stage of the experience. Although users were successfully generating animations, many failed to complete the download process.

The download action was not prominent enough and was often overlooked after generation. Session recordings showed that many users hesitated around the download area before abandoning the flow.
Unclear Flow Guidance
Users were uncertain about what to do after generating an animation. Heat
maps and community feedback indicated that users frequently searched around the interface instead of proceeding to the next step.

Fragmented Export Experience
Over time, different approaches to downloading were explored. Initially, Generate and Download shared the same action. Later, automatic downloads were introduced, but removing user control created confusion and reduced confidence in the process.
Solution
Exploring interface directions
I redesigned the export experience with a focus on clarity, user control, and reducing friction.
Improved User Guidance
Additional onboarding and visual cues were introduced to help users understand the next step after generation.
Redesigned Download Flow
The download experience evolved through multiple iterations. After experimenting with a combined Generate/Download action and automatic downloads, the final solution separated Download from Generate and positioned it directly beneath the animation preview, creating a clearer and more predictable flow.
Enhanced Visual Hierarchy
The CTA received stronger visual emphasis and clearer feedback, making it easier for users to recognize when their animation was ready for export.
Inventory Management
To support long-term asset management, an Inventory section was introduced. Users could revisit previously generated animations, preview them, and download assets again when needed, reducing dependency on one-time downloads and creating a more scalable experience.
